I've been drawing a lot since school started, but I've been too busy between that and work every day to get a chance to scan everything and make a post about it. I'm taking a break to post some photos from today.  I loaded some film into my polaroid camera and messed around a little bit.  I ruined two pictures by trying to zoom in too close though, I was sad about that.  These two came out good enough that I'm feeling good, even if the colors aren't as distorted as I might have hoped.

here are two watercolor paintings I did, referenced from NYLON magazine.  they looked way better before I scanned them and then tried to edit them.  I've been experimenting with a brush pen, and I love it, so expect more of this stuff

I needed to try something to jump-start myself and actually make something real, so I went and searched Concept Art and secretly hijacked a mentoring thread.  One of the assignments was to choose a black and white photo from the ones he had posted and do a 1:1 copy of it.  I've been trying it out in Photoshop using custom brushes by Zhuzhu.I'll just post some quick progress shots then.

 two things today.  first one's something a little older that I did during a very boring class.  it was back when I was first figuring out how flippin sweet drawing on cardboard is.  the next one is a caricature I did today during work of russell brand.  I could've pushed it a lot more than I did, but I'm still pretty happy with it.  (here's a picture of him if you don't know who he is already)

for the daily sketch group at conceptart, my take on it. I haven't drawn anything except work stuff all summer!  It's taken over, and without boring classes all day to not pay attention during, I haven't been drawing at all.  I think it shows.  I'd better get on that and draw more.
